Heyhey!

It was rather an adventurous day for us, we had to search high and low for our airbnb apartment keys. Our host weren't in town, and they left their apartment keys in their letter box. We had to try opening every single letter box, just to find the right one.

We had the whole apartment to ourselves, as the host are out of town! I'll really recommend this place to anyone who plans to travel to Barcelona!

Here's their airbnb link.

Location: Good, near Hostafranc metro station.

Hosts: Extremely helpful, they even left a Barcelona guide and metro map for us.

The only downside is that its on the 4th floor, you might face some difficulties carrying your luggage up.

We were lucky that a random restuarant we entered turned out to be the best meal we had in Barcelona. But it did cost us a bomb, about 38 euros (57 sgd) for two main dish and one bottle of mineral water.

Restuarant: Portonovo Silvestre

Address: Carrer de la Creu Coberta, 37, 08014 Barcelona 932 92 53 95

Codloin Garlic Museline (18 euros)

The codfish was soft, tender and cooked at the right temperature. The only downside is that it overly salty for my liking, but Nicky loves it.

Paella of Shellfish (14.50 euros)

It's our first Paella, making it hard for us to judge. All i could say is that it's rich in flavour and they were quite generous with the seafood serving.

Oh, they will give you bread as an appetizer. We thought it was free, what a wishful thinking. Sigh, it cost us 2 euros and it was horrible. REJECT THEM WHEN YOU'RE THERE!

Thats all for our Day 1. Time to sleep now, having bad jetlag.

Signing off,

Jchoozy
